In the singing of Shanxi Zuoquan folk song "Peach Blossom, Red Apricot and White Flowers", Jiang Jianbo, a scholar of cultural travel and master's tutor of Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, visited Shanghai Library (East Hall) to share his new book "Shanxi on the Earth", and told about this calm and heavy province through multiple groups of human geography dialogues.
He said that the warm and traditional Shanxi people, the open and enterprising Shanghai people, different Chinese people are working together to build the same Chinese dream. "The steadiness of Shanxi and the exuberance of Shanghai constitute China's past, present and future."
At the sharing meeting on November 11, Jiang Jianbo mentioned, "Shanxi on the earth is built on the four-dimensional overall space of 'heaven - earth - God - man'. If we take a more grand position and look from Shanxi in the mountains and rivers to Shanghai in the East China Sea, a space with similar connections will be presented to us."
And this is 4100 years ago, Hedong salt pond (located in Yuncheng, Shanxi Province), the two ancestors Shun, Yu led the ministers to sing the song, meaning the pursuit of light, the revival of China.
For example, on the human and divine level, the City God Temple in Shanghai is dedicated to Huo Guang, whose ancestor was named after his founding at the foot of Huoshan Mountain in Shanxi Province. Songjiang Tang Jing Building in Shanghai and Wutai Foguang Temple in Shanxi are both powerful witnesses of the Sinicization of Buddhism. Shanghai Tower and Yingxian Wooden Tower both use the "double sleeve" building structure.
"Shanxi on the Earth" is described in 28 representative geographical coordinates, including Huanghe Jinshan Grand Canyon, Hedong Yanchi, Wutai Mountain, Yingxian Wooden Tower, Xinghua Village, and so on, which is called "Shanxi Museum on paper" by readers. The book describes in detail the structure of this wooden peak tower in Ying County: entering the first floor, you can see a circle of outer columns and a circle of inner columns, and the octagonal plane of the tower is divided into a corridor for believers to walk and worship (outer slot) and the tower ventricle for enshrines the solemn Buddha statue (inner slot). Inside the center of the tower, in addition to the two north and south walls, the other six walls are painted with six large Buddhas with circular arches 趺坐. Together with the 11-meter-high sitting Buddha in the center, they form the layout of the past seven Buddhas. Looking around, it is also seen that the inner groove and the outer groove are closely connected through the longitudinal and transverse structures such as beams and square beams, forming a double sleeve structure with strong rigidity. Modern architecture calls this mode "tube in tube".
In Jiang Jianbo's view, to understand Shanxi, just skimming a few places, is far from enough, "go deep into Shanxi, and even spend more than 100 days."
He suggested to the reader that the plan could be based on the four counties in Shanxi during the Han Dynasty. In Yanmen County, Xinzhou, Shuozhou and Datong, you can enjoy the most splendid ancient Buddhist art in Shanxi. In Taiyuan County of Jinzhong, the provincial capital and its vicinity gather rich museum resources and Jinshang ancient town style; Hedong County in the south of Shanxi Province, which is equivalent to Linfen City and Yuncheng City, is an important area where Yao, Shun and Yu created rituals and music, so many ancestral temples were left, including the tomb of Emperor Shun and the Temple of Guan Di. Finally, Shangdang County in the southeast of Jin retains a large number of relatively complete local architectural groups, and the "Golden Triangle of ancient architecture" composed of Gaoping City, Lingchuan County and Zezhou County is worth appreciating.
Book reviewer, Shanxi Radio and television editor Xu Wensheng also came to the scene that day. He commented: "This book is also a good book for the world to re-understand Shanxi and China. In the formation and trend of freedom and unity, individuality and commonality, Shanxi has gradually formed the values of "stability as the root, people-oriented, Shou as the principle, and harmony as the purpose" at the beginning of the farming civilization, and it is deeply rooted in the soul and genes of the people, and has an influence to this day.
In the view of Qin Chang, the host of the scene, from Shanxi on the Loess Plateau to the Oriental pearl Shanghai, in the face of the great clash of cultures, it is because the Chinese nation's basic adherence to the "ritual and music order", the fundamental confidence and strong sense of belonging to thousands of years of excellent traditional culture, so that we can again and again internalize foreign thoughts and cultures into elements that meet our own development requirements. In order to achieve the stable operation of society, "This is the most exciting sentiment of this lecture."
